2006. The ongoing expansion of the school is to accommodate
a waiting list of 120 children. |

CommunitiWorks believes that we need to focus on integrated development, connecting programs and different groups within society, in order to improve the welfare of individual communities.
CommunitiWorks believes that:
- Wherever they live, everyone should have access to health, education and other social services that respect their dignity and full humanity are provided in a culturally sensitive and supportive manner.
- Today's children should be able to grow up in a world where individuals and families can decide freely and responsibly on health, education and infrastructure by virtue of having access to the information, education and services that enable them to do so.
- Women are free to choose or not choose livelihood, and neither decision results in any danger to their health or well being.
- Personal and political decisions about development and consumption should be made in a way that meets the needs of current generations while also considering the requirements of future generations
We believe that by striving for these goals, we create the conditions for genuine solidarity and partnerships between women and men, between children and grown ups, and between the human and natural environments.
In our projects, we focus on action within communities in order to bring about improvements in health, education, skill development and community infrastructure. We work with communities to take the lead in striving for their own prosperity. At the same time, we advocate for action by local people in collaboration with the government and local, national, and international development organizations. Our approach is a holistic one in that we address inter-linkages between issues, while being firmly rooted in a human-rights perspective.
CommunitiWorks and its members pursue this vision in collaboration and partnership with individuals and organizations in India and abroad, through dialogue, education, research and advocacy. As an organization, CommunitiWorks is committed to accountability and transparency in its governance, and to operating a workplace that values individuals and families and embraces diversity.
