A one to one interaction meeting of parents and teachers
was organized on 31st August 2006 to discuss students
and school staff performance. |

Construction
of new school building in Shaheed Nagar
Construction on new school building begun on 10th July
2006. The ongoing expansion of the school is to accommodate
a waiting list of 120 children. |

Amroha
Our 2nd project in Amroha, District J.P. Nagar, Uttar Pradesh,
includes the following activities:
- A school for 3-9 years old and 1st Grade; we will be
expanding into the 2nd Grade next year;
- A teacher training program for men and women in the program;
they teach at the school for a minimum period of three years.
- Creating enabling environment for project activities by
taking local power structure into confidence
- A women's cooperative for the mothers of the children
attending the school and Bidi Workers;
- A Women association of Bidi Worker women to work as the
guiding force for more than 20000 bidi workers working in
the project area.
- Health initiatives including regular check-ups and immunization
of the students in the school, and health programs to combat
anemia and to promote family planning.
- Training programs for unemployed youths in collaboration
with V. V. giri National Labor institute.
